The Legendary Beginning
Though a family is thousands, there can only be one in charge… Shri
Hukmichand Chordia and Smt Kamalbai Chordia founded Pravin Masalewale in
1962. The beginnings were humble: 5kg of one type of blended spice were
personally processed and sold immediately by the couple in a day. The
founders first identified the need for a spice which would fulfill the
requirements of the women at large….basically a multipurpose spice which
was convenient and available at an affordable price.

Masalewale has reached around 8 states and around the world. We have

been a leader in the spices market through Western India for the last
five decades. The consistent growth has sustained through these fifty
years because the Management Team at PM. In this business, this can be

The Strength - Management of the Value Chain
If the main timbers in the house are not straight, the smaller timbers
will be unsafe; and if the smaller timbers are not straight, the house
will fall. PM’s biggest asset is its breadth and depth of knowledge of
every aspect of spices. Led ably by the Founder, PM has a team that
collectively has hundreds of years of experience in the field of
sourcing, selecting, grading, blending and processing of a very wide
variety of spices. It has perfected the art of ensuring that the final
products have remained consistent over the last five decades in every
way irrespective of the source, grade and variety of the large number of
the raw spices that form the ingredients of the product. Best Quality
Raw Material, Latest Technology based Production & packaging practices,
Quality at all aspects, Great Taste and Modest Price are the 5 golden
principles based on which today our brands ‘Ambari’ ‘Suhana’ & ‘Sarvam’
have reached great heights. Management of the complex value chain
from the farms where the spices originate, through till the
sophisticated processing that they undergo in order to provide
consistent convenience and value to the housewife, remains the biggest
